Best of OU Create 10/23-10/29

The OU Create community has madeĀ over 100 posts in the last two weeks, on topics ranging from video game conventions to on-campus events. Without further ado, please enjoy the best of OU Create from 10/23 – 10/29!

And now for the weekly roundup…

Emma wrote a blog post describing her ‘typical week’ while she was studying abroad in Beijing. Her post not only captures exactly the small details you miss most when you leave a place, but also lots of beautiful photos of China! Check out her full post here.

Joni attended the ‘A is for Arab’ event on campus recently. The event included panels about the harmful stereotypes of Arabs in American media and Joni reflects on the history of anti-Arab representation and islamophobia in the United States.

Bailey and her dad went to a retro gaming convention down in Arlington, Texas. In her posts, Bailey describes the YouTube gamers she met and the activities available at the con.

Ohia wrote a very interesting overview of OU’s athletics. While he spends about two sentences on our football program, the rest of the post is dedicated to OU’s other spectacular (some championship-winning) athletic programs.

Lastly, OU Forum has come out with their Fall issue on gender-based violence. This issue has fifteen pieces about this theme; check out OU Forum’s site to read all of them.
