Last week, the OU Create Community posted more than 80 posts, about everything from study abroad to the Oklahoma Teacher Walkouts. With everybody’s eye on the end of the semester, let’s check out the best of OU Create from 4/9 to 4/15!
And now for the roundup…
To start us off, Jenna checked in from her study abroad experience in Peru. Jenna’s post isn’t like the usual study abroad posts — instead, Jenna wants to give her readers a glimpse at the other side of study abroad: illness.
Before we get into current events, we have one more personal post. Luke, who has been featured on this blog before, shared a poem about negative thoughts and going through therapy. Read Luke’s poetry here.
Emmanuelle, a Master’s student, went to a TESOL conference in Chicago to present her research. Emmanuelle’s post is not only full of lovely pictures of Chicago (see below), but also has tons of advice for grad students on a budget.
Laura wrote a post giving a detailed overview of the Oklahoma Teachers’ Walkout. Laura’s post not only goes into the politics of the walkout, but also Laura’s personal motivations for standing behind Oklahoma’s teachers in this march.
To wrap up this installment of the Best of OU Create, World Literature Today uploaded a highlight reel of the 2018 Puterbaugh Festival. For those of you who couldn’t attend, or those of you who’d like to relive it, check out the highlight reel!
And that’s all for now! Keep writing posts, and stay tuned for the next Best of OU Create roundup!
