Congratulations to every member of the OU Family for making it through dead week and finals! Even though everybody was busy with the end of the semester, the OU Create community still managed to create an incredible number of posts. We’ve looked at them all and are proud to present to you the Best of OU Create: Dead and Finals Week Edition!
And now for the roundup…
For our first post, we’d like to share Chloe’s incredible post about Medieval sculptures of Madonna and Child. Chloe shares several examples of these figures as well as an analysis of their role in the church and in the culture of Medieval Europe.
Next, Kestrel wrote a post about finding home, a difficult prospect after a year abroad. Kestrel shares her meditations on what it means to be home, and shares her hope that home is a place that we all can find.
Next, we have a post from Caroline, who wrote about her love for Filipino food. Caroline shares not only pictures, but also recipes of some of her favorite dishes!
Lucas shared a post about the state of mental health care on OU’s campus. In particular, the post addresses the closing of OU’s Psychology Clinic, which has served the OU family for over 50 years.
Josilyn also shared a post about study abroad and how difficult it can be to adjust to life back in the US. She shares several tips for recently returned travelers and hopes to help with reverse culture shock with her post.
Finally, Sindhu shared a post reflecting on their entire OU career: their accomplishments, their failures, and the lessons they’ve learned. This post is an excellent conclusion to the 2017-2018 school year!
