Best of OU Create 3/5-3/11

We’re all grinding out the last few weeks before Spring Break, but OU Create is generating tons of posts to take your mind off school! From travel tips to freeform poetry, the OU community wrote over 80 posts this week. We’ve selected our favorite posts from the past week, so without further ado, please enjoy the best of OU Create 3/5-3/11!

And now for the roundup…

Starting our travel posts is Chelsea’s post about how to save money for traveling. Chelsea gives lots of tips to folks who need to travel on a budget. Check out the full post here!

McKenzie also shared some practical advice on how to enjoy yourself while traveling. The biggest thing she recommends is to immerse yourself in the culture; as they say, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.”

Katherine is also interacting with the international scene, right here on campus. Katherine attended a lecture about disability in late medieval France and wrote her thoughts on the talk here.

In a turn from the international to the personal, Alyssa shared a post about what she’s learning in her design course. For her last assignment, Alyssa designed some minimalist movie posters with Adobe Illustrator; Lady and the Tramp is our favorite!

Wesley shared a personal post reflecting on the way that relationships, even ones in the past, change who you are. Specifically, he reflected on the “things” he got from his exes, whether it’s the love a TV show he would have otherwise never heard of, or even just a passion for writing. Check out Wesley’s post here.

Finally, we’d like to share Amy’s poem about the rain:

And that’s all for now! Keep writing posts, and stay tuned for the next Best of OU Create roundup!
